ႏွစ္သစ္ရဲ႕ ၂၀၁၇

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Midnight has passed and we entered the new 2017 with hopes and wishes. Our fellow Myanmar living thousands miles away have welcomed some fourteen and half hour ago like the whole world is doing. The celebration marks the milestones in many different ways, depend on who we are and how we see the courses of our lives. But I am sure many choose to raise the toasts of wine or champagne (some may prefer non-alcohol) to salute friends and families gathered around and wish the luck for the coming year. At midnight, people sing the traditional song "Auld Lang Syne", which means "for old time's sake", to reflect our past (sweet or bitter) and maintaining the friendship.
The world witnessed the leverage of ultra-nationalism and extreme liberalism in  the past 2016. The subjects of gender equality, human nature of migrations, faith-based religious indoctrination, diversity of mankind, science of climate change due to growing human demand and many other ethical issues are seriously threatened and widely politicized. The angry rhetoric not only divides the nations and the communities across the world, it also caused the families and friends apart.
Do we forget who we are?
The new year toast is not just for the midnight of December 31st., it must be for the year round, right? People tend to forget things!
Well, always remember the saying of "we all belong to each other", that once has warned by Saint (Mother) Theresa!
Here is my New Year wish to all those who I know and even I never associated with: May the hinges of love never wane and the wings of peace will not lose in this world!(KW)

၂၀၁၆ ဟာ ျမန္မာတိုင္းရင္းသားအားလံုးအတြက္ ရင္ခံုစရာအေတြ႕အၾကံဳသစ္ေတြနဲ့အတူ ျပည္သူ႕စိတ္ ၾကိဳက္ အစိုးရေပၚထြက္လာသလို လူမ်ိဳးေရးနဲ့ဘာသာေရး အားၿပိဳင္မွုမ်ား လြတ္လပ္စြာယံု ၾကည္ထင္ ဟပ္ခြင့္မ်ားကိုအက်ိဳးရွိစြာအသံုးခ်ၾကသူမ်ားရွိၾကသလို လူမွုကြန္ယက္ကို အခြင့္ေကာင္းယူ ျပီး အ,မနာပ ကေလာင္ေသြးၾကသူေတြလည္းရွိၾကပါတယ္။ Facebook ပါအ၀င္ လူမွုမီဒီယာရဲ႕အစြန္းထက္ျမက္မွုဟာ ႏိုင္ငံတကာစၾကၤန္မွာအက်အနေနရာယူေနပါၿပီ။
ေသျခာတ့ဲအခ်က္ကေတာ့ ခုလို ႏွစ္သစ္ကူးရက္ျမတ္မွာ လူမ်ိဳးဘာသာအားလံုးတို႔ဟာ ဒီ ကြန္ယက္ေတြေပၚမွာ မိမိတို႔ရဲ႕ ျဖတ္သန္းခဲ့တဲ့ ၂၀၁၆ ရဲ႕ ေကာင္းမွုမေကာင္းမွုအားလံုးတို႔ကို ျပည့္ဖံုးကားခ်ၿပီး ေမွ်ာ္မွန္းလို႔မရေသးတဲ့ ၂၀၁၇ အတြက္ႏွလံုးခံုရင္ခံုစြာနဲ့ ႀကိဳဆိုၾကရခ်ိန္မဟုတ္ပါလား။
၁၇၇၈ ခုႏွစ္ေလာက္က စေကာ့လူမ်ိဳး Robert Burns ရဲ႕ Auld Lang Syne ကဗ်ာကို႐ြတ္ဆိုရင္းႏွစ္သစ္ကို ႏိုင္ငံတကာမွာ ႀကိဳဆိုသီဆိုၾကၿပီေပါ့။ ကဗ်ာရဲ႕ဆိုလိုရင္းျဖစ္တဲ့ ႏွစ္ေဟာင္းကအျဖစ္ေဟာင္းေတြ ျပည္ဖံုးကားခ်ခ်ိန္မွာ ႏွစ္သစ္မွာ ရွိရင္းစြဲ ခင္မင္ရင္းႏီွးမွုေတြ နဲ့ေႏြးေထြးလံုျခံဳတဲ့ မိသားစုေရး လူမ်ိဳးေရး ဘာသာေရး ႏိုင္ငံ့အေရးေတြ ကိုက်ြန္ေတာ္တို႔ ျမန္မာတိုင္းရင္းသားအားလံုး(ျပည္တြင္းေရာ ျပည္ပေရာက္အားလံုး)ကလွိုက္လွိုက္လွဲလွဲၾကိဳဆို ၾကပါစို႔..................လို႔။
