BY-ELECTION RESULT: LANDSLIDE WINNING OF NATIONAL LEAGUE FOR DEMOCRACY

Dear All
Today, people of Burma has spoken the loudest voice they have been keeping silent in their hearts for almost three-quarterth the century. Going back to 1990 election, people had demonstrated first time of their wish in the general election; convened by military-run regime. But the result was quickly denied by the iron-gripped regime for no reason which left the regime as one of the most crooked government in the world's history. The words of 'democracy' and 'Daw Aung San Su Kyi' are strictly barred from being used in public.
The political wind has changed since the dialogue, happened less than a year ago, between the Nobel Laureate Aung San Su Kyi and the so-called "elected" president and retired general Thein Sein. Since then, Daw Su expressed her personal confidence of the president although she later admitted it is hard to find the free and fair democracy in the foreseeable future. But we need to accept the fact that it is a huge challenge for the current government and its crony to just give up their enormous power, un-touched wealth and near-zero self-criticism they have been enjoying for almost their entire lives.
The spread of news of NLD's by-election landslide victories (yesterday's result) to the world is thrilling! It is noted an incident of overwhelming votes by the soldiers in favor of National league for Democracy (NLD), inside the Light Infantry Division 101 in Pokkaku, reminds me of the past 1990 election. This is what we call "peoples' voice".
I wonder how the past general election result, that had been tainted with unfair balloting system, will be portrayed by the history.
I wonder how the current legislative elected members of both "Hluttaws" will be thinking about their future.
I wonder current 25% military-mandated legislature will be coursed.
I wonder how the elected Daw Aung San Su Kyi will be allowed in the Hluttaw in shaping the Burma's 60 millions citizens' future.
I wonder how the current quasi-democratic rule will be effected.
I wonder how the century-long deeply divided ethnic conflicts will be ended.
I wonder how long we have to wait see the real national reconciliation that has been window-dressed by the past government.
I wonder how the minority ethnic groups will seek and participate with genuine dialogue with the government of their choice.
But I believe a person like YOU have seen the end of the tunnel that you have long been waiting for.
YOUR TASK: stay tune with current development of our nation AND find the ways to help your families and friends at your homeland who have been deprived of true value of democratic norms.
