HAPPY BIRTH DAY, DAD! (JAN 26, 2016)

Moenygo U Ko KoGyi (former Parliamentary Secretary & Chairman of The Housing Board) would be 100 if he lives today. His caring and vision enlightened many lives. One of his remarkable contributions during his tenure is co-founding of Yankin Myothit. He gave up his 'MoeNyo Gayhar" few years after he departed Burma's political transition - due to financial hardship. Since then he lived place to place in rental residences. He died in a small room shared by a generous landlord; while trying very hard to meet rapidly growing rent.
To this day, there is no promising homeownership available to general public of Burma. Government and private sectors seem to lost this fundamental basic need that we all Burmese deserve. With unbelievably skyrocketing lands and property values, that deadlock prevents all citizens to own a home. Affordable and common sense mortgage system backed by solid financial institution is still not even in the foreseeable horizon.
We wish the values of human lives will shine upon all my beloved countrymen!
Dad! We wish you a very Happy Birthday!
